Terms of Use

Divorce Dock Effective Date: May 1, 2026 Last Updated: May 1, 2026

A Note Before We Begin

These Terms of Use govern your use of the Divorce Dock website and the products available through it. We've written them in plain language where we can. A few sections — particularly around liability and dispute resolution — use more formal legal language because that's what those sections require to be enforceable.

Please read this before using the site or purchasing anything. By using Divorce Dock, you're agreeing to these terms.

Questions? Email us at privacy@DivorceDock.com.

1. Who We Are and What This Is

Divorce Dock provides educational content and organizational tools for people navigating divorce. Our products — including checklists, guides, and downloadable bundles — are designed to help you prepare, get organized, and think more clearly about the decisions ahead.

Divorce Dock is not a law firm. Nothing on this website or in any of our products constitutes legal advice. Our content is educational in nature. It is not a substitute for the advice of a licensed attorney who knows the facts of your situation and the laws of your state.

Divorce laws vary significantly by jurisdiction. Items in our checklists and guides may not reflect the law in your state. Before making any legal decision, consult a licensed attorney in your jurisdiction.

2. Acceptance of These Terms

By accessing or using the Divorce Dock website, downloading any content, or purchasing any product, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

We may update these Terms from time to time. The current version will always be posted at this URL with an updated "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of the site after any update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

3. Educational Content — Not Legal Advice

This section is important. Please read it carefully.

All content on Divorce Dock — including but not limited to checklists, guides, articles, explanations, frameworks, and any other materials — is provided for educational and informational purposes only.

Nothing on this website or in any Divorce Dock product:

Divorce Dock makes no representation that the information in its products is complete, accurate, current, or applicable to your specific situation or jurisdiction. Laws change. Facts matter. Two divorces that look identical on the surface can have very different legal outcomes depending on jurisdiction, timing, and circumstances.

By using this site and its products, you acknowledge and agree that you are responsible for your own legal decisions, and that Divorce Dock is not liable for any decision you make or action you take based on its content.

If you are facing a legal proceeding, we strongly encourage you to retain a licensed attorney in your state.

4. Purchases and Delivery

4.1 — What You're Buying

Divorce Dock sells digital products — specifically, downloadable PDF bundles. When you complete a purchase, you receive a download link for the PDF bundle(s) you purchased. Delivery is electronic and immediate upon confirmed payment.

4.2 — License to Use

When you purchase a Divorce Dock product, you receive a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use that product for your own personal, non-commercial purposes. This license is for you alone.

You may not:

4.3 — Payment Processing

All payments are processed by Stripe. By completing a purchase, you agree to Stripe's terms of service and privacy policy. Divorce Dock does not collect or store your payment card information.

4.4 — Refund Policy

We stand behind our products. If you're not satisfied with your purchase for any reason, contact us within 30 days of your purchase date at privacy@DivorceDock.com and we will issue a full refund. No explanation required.

Refund requests received after 30 days from the purchase date may be honored at our discretion but are not guaranteed.

Refunds are processed back to the original payment method. Processing time is typically 5–10 business days depending on your card issuer.

5. Intellectual Property

All content on the Divorce Dock website and in Divorce Dock products — including text, checklists, frameworks, organizational structures, graphics, and design — is owned by Divorce Dock and protected by applicable copyright and intellectual property laws.

You may not reproduce, copy, republish, upload, post, transmit, or distribute any Divorce Dock content without our prior written permission, except for personal use as described in the license above.

The Divorce Dock name, logo, and related marks are proprietary. Nothing in these Terms grants you any right to use them.

6. Acceptable Use

By using this site, you agree that you will not:

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, DIVORCE DOCK PROVIDES THIS WEBSITE AND ALL CONTENT AND PRODUCTS "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. THIS INCLUDES, WITHOUT LIMITATION, ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.

DIVORCE DOCK DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE SITE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE, THAT DEFECTS WILL BE CORRECTED, OR THAT THE SITE OR THE SERVERS THAT MAKE IT AVAILABLE ARE FREE OF VIRUSES OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS.

8. Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, DIVORCE DOCK AND ITS OWNERS, EMPLOYEES, CONTRACTORS, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THIS SITE OR ITS PRODUCTS — INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, DAMAGES FOR LOST PROFITS, LOSS OF DATA, PERSONAL INJURY, OR PROPERTY DAMAGE — EVEN IF DIVORCE DOCK HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

IN NO EVENT SHALL DIVORCE DOCK'S TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THESE TERMS OR YOUR USE OF THE SITE EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO DIVORCE DOCK IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($100), WHICHEVER IS GREATER.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain warranties or liability. In those jurisdictions, the above limitations apply to the fullest extent permitted by law.

9. Third-Party Links and Services

The Divorce Dock website may contain links to third-party websites or reference third-party services. These links are provided for convenience only. Divorce Dock does not endorse, control, or assume any responsibility for the content, privacy practices, or terms of any third-party site or service. Your use of any third-party site is at your own risk and governed by that site's own terms.

10. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms of Use are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Minnesota, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Any dispute arising out of or related to these Terms or your use of Divorce Dock shall first be addressed by contacting us at privacy@DivorceDock.com. We will make a good-faith effort to resolve any dispute informally before either party pursues formal proceedings.

If informal resolution is not possible, any legal action or proceeding shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Minnesota, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Divorce Dock and its owners, employees, contractors, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses — including reasonable attorneys' fees — arising out of or in any way connected with your access to or use of the site, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.

12. Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your access to the site at any time, without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, third parties, or for any other reason at our discretion.

13. Entire Agreement

These Terms of Use, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Divorce Dock regarding your use of the site and supersede any prior agreements or understandings on that subject.

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, that provision will be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable, and the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
